Introducing....Valiant Beauty

I discovered  a wonderful shop! Like all women I have a weakness for beauty products and this shop is amazing! The owner Sarah offers vegan cosmetics and has great colors!
Sarah is creating  the makeup herself and I am a proud owner of her makeup!

We had a short  collaboration where I was creating her Etsy shop banner and the logo design for her wonderful company. You can see the logo design on the top of the jar. The illustration is perfect to represent this unique brand. Once you try Valiant Beauty you are hooked!

Sarah made some wonderful makeup for me! Check it out! This is Lorena Gold Eye Shadow. Quite exiting since I never had somebody actually creating a makeup for me!
I love it! And so will you!
It comes in a gorgeous little jar.

Let's talk eye shadows...

Please introduce yourself...

My name is Sarah. I create Valiant Beauty out of pure love of makeup ( and a slight addiction). I just graduated high school in 2011. I have a strong passion for animals and their rights. I've been vegetarian since I was 12 years old. I just recently made the switch to Vegan a month ago.

Why makeup and what makes your makeup so special?

I've always wanted to be a makeup artist and I love creating things. But ideally I would much rather sell makeup for others to use. My makeup is special because I create each eye shadow individually. I use ingredients that are specially meant to help make the eye shadow smooth, longer lasting and pigmented. Plus all my ingredients are never tested on animals and are vegan. So cruelty- free all the way:) !

Who would you like wearing your eye shadows?

As for celebrities I don't really have a 'wish list'. But I love seeing my friends and family wearing my make up. It makes me happy that people enjoy my products just as much as I do.

How do you promote your Etsy shop and where else can we purchase your eye shadows?

I promote my Etsy shop buy joining teams and participating in the forums. I also do weekly ads on Etsy to get more exposure. As of right now Etsy is the only place I sell my items. I would eventually love to get my own website and sell products there.

What is the biggest makeup mistake women make and what is your signature look?

I think the biggest makeup mistake women make is not taking risk. I see so many people wear he same look over and over. They never switch it up. My signature look is usually bold and bright colors that most people wouldn't chance wearing. I love mixing colors that usually wouldn't go together and making them work.

I love the Sweet Cotton pink Eye Shadow!

Check out the gorgeous Rosemary Eye Shadow!

It feels wonderful on the skin, it's safe, gorgeous and very feminine.

You can find more about makeup and eye shadows right on her you tube page!
Check it out and  learn more about makeup!

Go give her a big LIKE on Facebook!

And check out her Etsy shop!

Sarah offers gorgeous colors and my favorite so far are of course Lorena ( I just love gold makeup!) and the Purple Glamour.
Please contact Sarah and find out about her new makeup line!

Introducing...Softearth Art

Today I am proud to introduce to you another New Zealand made brand .... Southearth Art!

This unique shop inspired me to illustrate a one of a kind card, inspired by Toadstool Forest Mother!

Let's talk felt  needle work....

Please introduce yourself...

My name is Marie and I am a needle felt artist. The Enchanted World of Needle Felting is full of Rainbow dyed soft New Zealand Wool. It's warmth and light speaks to me. I feel it breathe in my hands and fingers. I want to warm people's hearts and ignite in them a stirring of their spirit. Magical creatures, Waldorf inspired, Gnomes, Fairies, living out in the rural countryside. I am inspired by Mother Nature. Here all is calm and peaceful.

Why needle felting and what is your inspiration?

Children especially find my art appealing as it appeals to their wonderful imagination. My small homestead and garden is organic and was build 25 years ago. I work on the kitchen table, and the sun 's light bounces off the wooden walls, to create a heart -warming glow.

I started making a few wool dolls, and took to markets and fairs to sell. They were well received.  A friend suggested that I start a blog and I have been astounded at the interest and following. I joined Etsy and the New Zealand on-line shop Felt. I wanted to share my art with others globally, to let them have in
their homes a little piece of me. To this end my art is affordable to all.

How long does it take you to create one design?

A simple Rainbow figure might take me and hour to complete and a landscaped picture a few hours.

How do you promote your product and where else can we find it?

By going global this has extended my view of the world. New Zealand is a fairly small Island Nation, but now I consider  the seasons happening in the world and create items for other Seasonable Nature Tables. I love what I do and have written a lot of short poems that go alongside my original 3D needle felt art. My hope is to publish these in a book.
I promote though Etsy and the New Zealand site "Felt". I am also in a few local galleries, cafe's etc...

Where do you see your brand in 5 years?

I see myself felting well into future bringing joy into people's homes, with my fiber art.

Visit her blog and enjoy one of a kind creations!

Introducing....byVellamo Jewelry Sandra Kemppainen

As a woman I love jewelry and here I discovered a very talented entrepreneur! I am proud to introduce to all of you a jewelry brand with future! - Vellamo by Sandra Kemppainen!
Her designs inspired me to illustrate. I illustrated this one  of a kind bookmark!

It is inspired by this wonderful earring and pendant that you can purchase in her shop!

You can have a look at the bookmark in my shop! http://www.etsy.com/shop/BaleaRaitzART Feel free to contact!

Let's talk jewelry, photography and supplies...

1.Please introduce yourself....

I am Sandra, a half- Hungarian Romanian, currently living in Helsinki, Finland. I have been in Finland for the past four years now and I love the nature, lakes, trees and special sunlight they have up here. I say" I don't live at the edge of the world, but you can see it from here'. I am a professional photographer with an engineering degree. I have been an entrepreneur since 2008.

As a photographer, Finland has been an awesome inspiration for my pictures.

2. Why did you choose to name your brand Vellamo? Do you feel a connection to the sea?

I felt that this name, inspired by Kalevala, the Finnish mythology, strongly connected to water and sea is a good name fro the brand of jewelry I am creating. I love water and the sea.

3.The gemstones in your shop are amazing.... how did it all started?

Since I inspired the brand name by nature, I want to use beautiful gemstones for my jewelry. So, I spend countless hours searching supplies, as well as meeting suppliers in person during my Christmas holiday in a Christmas market  in Romania.

4. Do you have a favorite stone you work with?
That is a tough question....
I love turquoise stones, but also mosaic magnetite stones, witch come in so beautiful colors, Jasper is also one of my favorite, especially imperial sea sediment jasper.

5.What is your advice for somebody who want to start a jewelry line and is interested in supplies?

Spend a lot of time searching, browsing and reading information pages about the stones you want to use.

6.Where do you see your brand in 5 years?

My dream is to make this a big jewelry brand, a design and name that people will recognize.
