NZ fashion week 2010

Well, fashion week is over today and again NZ celebrated fashion. The Viaduct was a beautiful location and it was a great atmosphere just a bit windy and rainy- but that's Auckland for you in September!

A decade of fashion week was celebrated in Auckland. It was fun and interesting. Designer Sera Lily was using street models for her show! It was a great idea to show regular people from the street. Lovely! 

What else can I tell you??? I have seen the Mena show, Liz Mitchel, Whiri, and Turet Knuefermann!

One of my fav designers came to NZ- Nicole Miller is in town! 

Her fashion show was great and again she rocked the stage!

Of course there where other talented designers taking part at this great event! Let's not forget the amazing shows put together by Trelice Cooper and the Carpenter's Daughter! 

Apart from the Trelice Coooper Women she had an amazing Trelice Cooper Kids show! A dreamland for every kid! It just made you smile!

Iris Apfel....pure fashion

We all  have seen pictures of her outfits. Iris Apfel is just an amazing fashion bird, a pioneer in the world of fashion.  From head to toe a vision. The hair cut a signiture, the round framed glasses - a focus and the jewellery the bigger the better.
Her outfit does not work on all of us for sure but on her it just looks perfect. Iris is a woman with a wardrobe of a lifetime, always a head of her time.

She is just fabulous, an icon... without her fashion is not the same. To me she is pure joy an explosion of colours and the perfect combination of pattern, style and courage.

Fashion today...

What I find interesting about fashion is that you find it everywhere you go. Every corner of this planet is covered in fashion- unique fashion.
You can read magazines, you can go online, you can see fashion shows live, you can watch fashion tv...
Michel Adam did a great job in that. He started with Cafe Fashion and soon after fashion Tv was born.
The diamond Logo is knowen is almost 200 countries and every day it's getting bigger. People were hungry for fashion, for the backstage life, for model clips and fashion all over the continents.
I think fashion tv is a must for fashion students, for designers, models, editors, basiclly everybody in this business.
