Translucent as the inside of a shell, edgy, original a touch of Alexander McQueen... The new RTW Spring 2012 is here and is did not disappoint. Sarah Burton did a great job and is keeping the name Alexander McQueen high in fashion.
Before you wonder what the line is about just a little hint! The line is inspired by Gaia, Gaudi and Gres
Think sea, ocean, nature, shells, soft colors and edgy cuts! Pleats, pearls, leather, lace, beading, contemporary constructed dresses and wonderful accessories are ready to make it to the catwalk.
The silhouette is a traditional McQueen ... the fabric is soft and transformed for some pieces to appear tuff and edgy...
As soon as the show starts you dive into a mysterious sea world, corals, pearls, silver shine, oyster prints layered that create volume and texture.
A mixture of silver, gold, copper,shells, corals, organza, chiffon. lace, leather and silk is waiting to be admired on the famous catwalks! The models look like goddesses, slowly walking the runway in style and grace.
The color palette is soft and shiny a McQueen original. Burton included the strong black leather a little danger in the collection with an extravagant daring touch of mystery- danger of the sea!
